Je m’appelle Matthew McKay et je suis un traducteur britannique bas\u00e9 en Suisse.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Traducteur ind\u00e9pendant (du chinois, du fran\u00e7ais et de l\u2019allemand vers l’anglais<\/strong>) depuis 2018, je me concentre principalement sur le domaine des arts et des sciences\u00a0humaines, ainsi que sur la coop\u00e9ration et le d\u00e9veloppement international.<\/p>

Fort d’une solide formation en sciences humaines au cours de laquelle j\u2019ai obtenu une licence en arts de l\u2019universit\u00e9 d\u2019Oxford\u00a0 et un master en arts de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Gen\u00e8ve, je me consacre \u00e0 aider les clients du monde culturel et humanitaire \u00e0 faire conna\u00eetre leurs concepts, leurs visions et leurs voix sur le march\u00e9 anglophone.<\/p>

En tant que membre du Chartered Institute of Linguists (Royaume-Uni), de l’Institute of Translation and Interpreting (Royaume-Uni) et de l’Association suisse des traducteurs, terminologues et interpr\u00e8tes<\/strong>, je respecte les codes de conduite professionnelle de ces trois associations. Mon engagement se traduit \u00e9galement par une formation professionnelle continue qui me permet de rester au fait des nouveaut\u00e9s dans mes domaines de sp\u00e9cialisation et donc de continuer \u00e0 vous fournir des services de qualit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure.<\/p>

Ma passion pour la traduction<\/strong> est intrins\u00e8quement li\u00e9e \u00e0 mon parcours de vie. Apr\u00e8s une enfance pass\u00e9e dans la partie germanophone de la Suisse, c\u2019est en Suisse francophone que j\u2019ai v\u00e9cu mes premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de jeune adulte. D\u00e8s le plus jeune \u00e2ge, j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 immerg\u00e9 non seulement dans les langues \u00e9trang\u00e8res, mais aussi dans un environnement o\u00f9 plusieurs langues sont tr\u00e8s souvent affich\u00e9es c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te. Mon approche de la traduction s’appuie sur les valeurs typiquement suisses, telles que la pr\u00e9cision et la minutie<\/strong>. Par la suite, j\u2019ai entam\u00e9 cinq ann\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures en sciences humaines qui me permettent d\u2019\u00eatre aujourd\u2019hui d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e0 l’\u00e9coute de vos d\u00e9fis uniques de traduction et, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, de transcr\u00e9ation. C’est cet ensemble de comp\u00e9tences que je mets \u00e0 votre service, dans le but de vous aider \u00e0 mener \u00e0 bien vos projets en langue anglaise.<\/p>

Lorsque je ne travaille pas pour mes clients, que je ne r\u00e9dige pas d’articles de blog sur la traduction ou que je ne veille pas \u00e0 ce que mon entreprise de traduction fonctionne comme une machine bien huil\u00e9e, j\u2019aime lire (des auteurs aussi diff\u00e9rents que Kafka ou Confucius), faire des exp\u00e9riences culinaires et passer du bon temps avec ma famille et mes amis.<\/p>
